Wheat flour Pancake - easykitchen.info

Pancake is a western breakfast and most of the kids favorite one. But usually the pancake is prepared with All purpose flour, but for a change and also in a healthy version I have tried this by using Wheat flour instead of all purpose flour and it came out very well. Here is the yummy version of recipe.

Serves : Approximately 10 counts (about the size you pour)

Preparation time : 10 mins

Cooking time : 3-4 mins (for a pancake)

Total time needed: 15 mins (differs upto the numbers)

Ingredients :

Dry Ingredients :

* Wheat flour – 1 cup

* Brown Sugar – 3 tablspn ( upto your sweet level) / Sugar also used

* Baking powder – 1 tblspn

* Cinnamon powder – 1/4 tsp

* Salt – 1/4 tsp

Wet Ingredients :

* Buttermilk – 1 cup

* Egg – 1 no

* Melted Butter – 2 tblspn

* Vanilla extract – 1 tsp

* Milk – If needed while mixing the batter.

* Butter to spread on the pan.

Maple syrup is the best pouring / dip for the pancake.

Strawberry syrup, Chocolate syrup can also go with pancake.

Preparation Instructions :

1. First will prepare the batter, In a bowl add buttermilk, egg, salt, baking powder, Brown sugar, cinnamon powder, Melted butter, vanilla extract and whisk it well.

2. Add wheat flour by sieving it and mix well.

3. If needed add milk to make it as a batter, in pouring consistency.

4. Heat a Pancake pan or Dosa pan and spread the butter and Pour the pancake mix, spread it a little.

5. Cover it with a lid and cook for 2 minutes in medium flame, as it is a wheat flour it will take some time to cook.

6. Flip it around and cook for 2 minutes open in medium low flame to avoid burning.

7. Transfer it to a plate and spread a bit of butter to keep the pancake soft.

8. Recipe is ready to serve with any types of syrup that you prefer.

it will take some time to cook.

16. Flip it around and cook for 2 minutes

open in medium low flame.

17. Transfer it to a plate and spread

a bit of butter to keep

the pancake soft.

Recipe is ready to serve with any types of syrup that you prefer.

Note for the dish :

1. Instead of egg, you can add Banana in the puree form and give a try.

2. Adding brown sugar will give a nice flavor and taste and also it goes well with wheat flour.

3. You make different shapes of pancakes to look appetizing for kids.

4. You can also serve pancakes with some butter on the top.
